A week ago Friday there was much activity at the church. The first structural beam was set into place which allowed one of the shoring beams that the Parish Hall has been sitting on to be removed. Step one of several to allow the lowering of the Parish Hall onto the new foundation.
This week Nate and crew had to set up a ground heater to thaw the ground to enable the digging out for the concrete footer to be poured which will support the second structural beam to be placed. The excavators were able to start digging Thursday and finish Friday.
The forms and re-bar for the footer are to be ready for inspection and sign off Monday. Once signed off, the footer can be poured, second structural beam set, remaining shoring beams and cribbing removed, and then the Parish Hall placed on the new foundation.
All of this is planned for this coming week. Prayers welcome!! Stay tuned for more updates.
We, as the Renovation Committee, encourage any and all questions you might have about the project. We also continue to be amazed by the support, both prayers and financial, the parish provides this project.
Thank you!!!
