Finishing the backfilling on the south side; dry well for French drain & stairwell heated bottom slab.

The excavators have completed the installation of the French drain and the dry well on the south and east sides of the church. This will allow for drainage of snowmelt from our heated south and east side sidewalks and the basement exterior stairway heated bottom slab. They are completing the backfilling of the south side around the church. Nate and crew continue framing on the top floor and have finished installing the trusses for the Altar flooring. Those that have experienced the “undulating” nature of the old Altar area flooring will welcome the new, sturdy support under the new floor!

The plumbers are onsite working on their “groundwork” of stubbing in pipes etc. on the lower level that will then allow the basement slab to be poured in the next 2-3 weeks. Once the slab is poured, framing can commence in the basement areas ~ very exciting!

Stay tuned as there is much activity going on at the “little yellow church with the red doors" on French Street!

As always, the Renovation Committee encourages any and all questions you might have about the project. We also continue to be amazed by the support, prayerfully and financially, as our parish moves forward with this project.
