Much activity has taken place at our “Little Yellow Church” the past two weeks. The plumbers completed their underground stubbing-in work which then allowed for the slab in the lower level to be poured. Once the slab set up, the completion of the stairs from the Parish Hall (PH) to the lower level happened as well as the framing of the new columbarium location. The nave framework has all been re-enforced (“sistered up” is the correct term!) and the accessibility ramp into/out of the nave from the PH has been installed. The HVAC sub and the electrician have been on site getting ready to start creating duct work and wiring, respectively.
John Landon, chair of our IT/AV subcommittee, and Jim Calvin (who brought forward to us the need for assistive hearing technology he saw at Lord of the Mountains), led a group to Lord of the Mountains to experience their system during a live service. All were very impressed and recommended to the renovation committee to move forward with this technology. The committee approved to move forward with this technology which will ensure ADA compliance for the hearing impaired. The greater-than-anticipated financial support of the parish has allowed us to proceed with this assistive hearing technology project. Thank you!
The website will continue to include more updated photos of the progress of our renovation.
As always, the Renovation Committee encourages any and all questions you might have about the project. We also continue to be amazed by the support, both prayers and financial, the parish provides this project.
Thank you!!!
